Note on the lyrics:
I WROTE EVERYTHING IN CAPS. Bing (yes, Bing the AI search engine powered by Chat GPT4) helped me complete some parts of the song which are NOT in caps. Often I find my songwriting process stalls due to getting stuck on what lyric to write next. I have a lot of vocal ideas and often start with nonsense syllables which I then use as a template for rhythm and vowel and consonant sounds. I discovered that using Bing helped me keep going which, in my experience, is the most important part of finishing a song.
What I did was write the first 4 lines of the song and then explain what I was trying to write about which was essentially the earth retaking itself after humans had either all died or left for some reason. I was surprised to see how Bing then developed a bit of a plot twist of there actually being a human left in a cave somewhere freaking out about being the last one alive. I liked this idea and ran with it and continued to write about how it was time for humans to give up and disappear because their time had actually come and gone. I hope to use AI tools to help me get unstuck in the future because I found this process pretty rewarding.

VERSE:
IN THE COOL OF THE NIGHT OF THE FIRST DAY
CAME A WAVE OF A LOVE THAT HAS SINCE FRAYED
INNOCENCE OF THE DOVE THAT WAS SEEN HIGH
IN THE TREE SILHOUETTED BY THE MOON LIGHT
As the days went by and the seasons changed
The earth reclaimed what was once estranged
The flowers bloomed and the rivers flowed
The animals thrived and the forests grew
But somewhere in the dark of a hidden cave
A human heart BEATS STILL with hope and faith
BRIDGE:
This is the hope of the last one alive
They dream of a world where they can survive
CHORUS:
LEAVES ON TREES ARE LOVED FOR ONE AND NURTURED
CAST THEIR SEEDS AND PLANT THE WORLD ALL OVER
LET IT BE!
TIME IS NOT FOR THEM NOW
MEMORY!
WHO THEY WERE IS FADING OUT
VERSE:
Waiting for a sign of another soul
To share in the burden of this lonely role
THEY REMEMBER THE TIME THAT HAD COME BEFORE
ENDLESS WASTE AND A HUNGER THAT WAS WANTING MORE
NOW THEY SEE THAT THE WAY IS SO VERY CLEAR
THEY ACQUIESCE TO REALITY AND DISAPPEAR
CHORUS:
LEAVES ON TREES ARE LOVED FOR ONE AND NURTURED
CAST THEIR SEEDS AND PLANT THE WORLD ALL OVER
LET IT BE!
TIME IS NOT FOR THEM NOW
MEMORY!
WHO THEY WERE IS FADING OUT
OUTTRO:
IN THE TREE IS A SIGN OF THE NEW LIFE
SILOUHETTED IS THE DOVE IN THE MOONLIGHT

This started as "I'm going to write a choral piece" and then turned into, "maybe I'll just make something heavy".
